Club economics · from £0

We charge the club. Never the fan.

You keep every penny of face value. Your supporters pay no booking fee. What we charge is 4% of the ticket — never more than 4% — after your first five hundred — small enough that the board will not blink, big enough that we are still here in ten seasons.

What Tinaya costs your club

4% · CAPPED

£105,160 a year

NO MONTHLY FEE · 88P PER TICKET · CARD PROCESSING AT COST

4% of the ticket price — and never more than 4%, whatever the seat costs. The fee is capped at £1.20, which holds up to about £80 of face; above that a premium seat pays a flat 1.5% instead (a £300 hospitality seat is £4.50). The cap falls to 90p above 100,000 tickets and 60p above 250,000. Your first 500 tickets a season are free. No monthly fee, no tiers.

The line your board will ask about

At 1.75 a ticket, your supporters are putting £210,000 a year through your checkout in booking fees. Tinaya costs the club 50% of that — and your fans pay none of it.

That is not a favour to the fan. It is the cheapest commercial lever you have: nothing to explain at checkout, nothing to argue about on Monday, and the price on the poster is the price at the gate.

All figures exclude VAT. Tinaya is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged today; it will be added on top if and when we register, and a VAT-registered club reclaims it in full.

The volume taper is marginal, like income tax: your first 500 tickets each season are free, and the £1.20 cap falls to 90p above 100,000 tickets and 60p above 250,000. Crossing a band never re-prices the tickets below it. Card processing goes straight to Stripe at cost — we never touch it and we never mark it up.

100% OF FACE VALUE

Yours. Our fee is charged to you, not skimmed off the ticket — and your fans pay no booking fee at all.

£0 FAN BOOKING FEE

On sport, the price on the poster is the price at the gate. Nothing to explain, nothing to refund.

Answered straight, before you ask

What actually drives the cost?

One thing: the ticket price. We take 4% of it, and never more than 4% — so 32p on an £8 non-league ticket and £1.20 on a £30 seat. The fee is capped at £1.20, which holds up to about £80 of face; a premium seat above that pays a flat 1.5% instead (a £300 hospitality seat is £4.50, not £1.20 — we would rather say so than print a cap we break). Above 100,000 tickets a season the cap falls to 90p, and above 250,000 to 60p, marginally like income tax: crossing a band never re-prices the tickets below it. No monthly fee, no minimum.

Is VAT included?

No — every price on this page excludes VAT. Tinaya is not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged today. If and when we register, VAT is added on top of the fee, and a VAT-registered club reclaims it in full. We are telling you this now rather than surprising you with it later.

Why a percentage, and not a flat fee per ticket?

Because a flat fee is regressive. A 75p booking fee is 9.4% of an £8 non-league ticket and 1.9% of a £40 seat — it would charge the poorest clubs five times the rate of the richest for exactly the same product. A percentage tracks what the ticket is actually worth. The cap then keeps us cheap on the expensive seats.

Can we just sign up, or is there a sales gate?

Grassroots and Club plans apply online and we approve within one working day. The approval is a real check — we verify you are the club you say you are, because your fans’ money moves through it — not a sales call in disguise.

Who pays the card fees?

The club, at cost. We do not mark them up, and they appear as their own line on your settlement so you can check us.

Will a fan booking fee appear later?

No. £0 fan-facing fee on sport is the product, not an introductory offer. If it ever changed it would be announced, printed and opt-in per club — never switched on underneath you.

What if we grow mid-season?

You move up at the published entry price and the bands do the rest automatically. Early clubs keep their joining rates: we grandfather, we do not ambush.

The low-risk first step

Bring your worst export. We will rebuild it live.

Season-ticket and supporter-history migration is included on club plans: seats, points and purchase history survive the move. Forty-five minutes, your fixtures, your data, on the production system. If it does not work in front of you, you have lost forty-five minutes.
